Job Description

As Technologist, Engineering Lab Operations, you will work as part of the Flash Engineering Labs governance team overseeing the smooth execution of all flash engineering labs globally. Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • Ensure smooth operations of Flash engineering labs in line with company strategies, goals, and guidelines and policies.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business procedures and implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations.
  • Develop long-term operational strategies, working closely with senior management and lab administrators to develop operational plans.
  • Partner with real estate teams, EHS teams and IT to design and oversee new lab buildouts/lab expansions.
  • Analyze current operational processes and performance of labs, recommending technical solutions for improvement where necessary.
  • Perform lab evaluations to develop network sizing, compute and storage plans for SW tools required for operation of the labs.
  • Develop lab governance policies covering topics like asset management, health and safety, security. Evangelize tools to monitor and enforce said policies and partner with development teams to get them implemented.
  • Work with Engineering Lab Administrators in the development of financial and budgetary plans covering technical debt refreshes, capacity planning etc.
  • Devise strategies for ensuring growth capacity enterprise wide and implement process improvements to maximize output and minimize costs.
  • Analyze and develop lab network security measures; align with IT network teams for implementation.


Qualifications

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business administration or related field.
  • 10+ years experience in a leadership role in a field related to IT, Business, Management, Systems administration or Manufacturing.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, backed by previous professional success.
  • Proven ability to lead with influence and implement projects.
  • Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
  • Ability to streamline or implement structures to boost speed and efficiency while supporting rapidly shifting business demands.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
  • Experience in developing budget and business (technology) plans.
  • Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external purposes.
  • Experience with IT governance and management frameworks like COBIT, ITIL etc.
  • (Preferred) Knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production systems management and employee management.
