As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will be responsible for conducting the initial assessment of a patient, including listening to their complaints or concerns, obtaining a relevant medical history, and measuring intraocular pressures, refraction, visual acuities, and more. Responsibilities
- Greet patients with a smile
- Perform complete ophthalmic history and preliminary exam
- Perform pre-test
- Visually checks the condition of the patient's eye by observing
- Accurately record all information in the EMR system
- Complete diagnostic and procedure coding
- Assist in in-office procedures as needed
- Maintain the health of ocular equipment
- Maintain stock of necessary ocular items
- Set up and prep for minor procedures
- Sterilize instruments
- Educate patients on best practices and eye health
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Assist Doctors and Managers as instructed
- Perform tasks and other front desk duties
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace at all times
- Bilingual

- Computer literate
- Familiarity with basic computer programs, OfficeMate and Exam Writer software preferred
- Previous customer service experience desired
