Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Backhoe Operator / CWT Operator to join our team at Valicor Environmental Services at the Inkster, MI facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating heavy equipment, specifically backhoes, and will be responsible for assisting in various tasks related to environmental facility operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate backhoes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.

• Assist in the handling and processing of waste materials at the facility.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks and meet project deadlines.

• Keep accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Our Minimum Requirements:

• Prior experience operating a variety of heavy equipment. (Excluding Forklifts)

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.

• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.

• Capacity to provide and follow directions.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a backhoe operator, preferably in an environmental or construction setting.

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

• Ability to operate heavy equipment in various weather conditions and environments.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Excellent vision or the use of prescribed lenses.

• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

• A sound understanding of pertinent safety guidelines.

• Capacity to provide and follow directions.

- (Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in backhoe operation or equivalent training.

• Experience operating other heavy equipment, such as loaders or excavators.

• Knowledge of environmental regulations and best practices.
