Inventory Control

Department: Manufacturing

To manage the flow, accuracy and timely logistics of material from the point of receiving purchased material to the point of shipping a finished product. Perform a variety of duties to identify, receive, record, count and distribute goods/materials from and to various internal and external sources.

• Cycle Counts of Inventory and Raw Materials Inventory Accuracy
• Kitting material for shop orders and dispensing to the manufacturing floor
• Handle and transport fragile items and ensure every item is placed in the appropriate location
• Receive incoming material into locations and IQMS warehouse management system
• Personally responsible for the accurate transactions of materials in the IQMS system
• Operating a forklift or pallet jack to move pallets
• Pull finished goods items for shipping
• Provide back-up support for others and for assigned areas
• Investigate variances and report material discrepancies
• Other duties as required

• Basic math and computer skills
• Ability to lift up 25 – 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• Ability to occasionally team lift up to 70 lbs.
• Organizational skills
• Accuracy in all activities
• Work with minimal guidance on daily tasks
• Must read and verify detailed instructions and work order Bill of Materials and must be precise with recording information such as item and lot numbers, quantities, PO information
• Willingness to provide support for other areas as necessary
• Work within multi-tasking and dynamic environment with customer delivery pressure
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Strong time management skills; must be able to prioritize between multiple tasks, and plan work to accomplish all assignments
• Experience with barcoded inventory system a plus
