Water Quality Technician II

The Metropolitan Water District needs a Water Quality Technician II. They are looking for candidates with experience in drinking water regulations, water conveyance and distribution systems, water treatment processes, water chemistry, mathematics, health and safety requirements, and current office equipment and technology.

This project is in Carson, CA.
 

Pay: $32 to $35/hour
 

Duties include:

• Preventative and corrective maintenance and testing, including pumps, valves, chemical feed skids, compressors, etc.
• Support - Operations, Testing and Troubleshooting
• Participate in mechanical improvements.
• General facility upkeep, fabricate/install equipment/piping to support onsite operations, maintenance, and testing.
• Other mechanical-related functions

Job Requirements:

• This position is a temporary assignment for up to 6 months.
• High School/GED diploma or certification. (REQUIRED)
• A valid Driver’s License is (REQUIRED)
• Schedule: 5/40 Monday – Friday with a 6:30 am starting time
• Wear a cartridge respirator.
• OSHA 10 (REQUIRED)
