POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Security Analyst will plan, implement, upgrade, and monitor security protocols for the protection of the organization’s computer networks and information.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Stays current with the cybersecurity threatscape.
· Monitors and reviews security systems for suspicious network or application behavior
· Monitors and restricts access to sensitive, confidential, or other high-security data.
· Investigates any breaches and other security incidents that occur.
· Documents security incidents and implements response actions; generate reports for team members and key staff.
· Uses data encryption, firewalls, and other appropriate security tools and applications to protect the storage or transfers of confidential and/or sensitive digital information.
· Safeguards system security and improves overall efficiency by training users and promoting security awareness.
· Routinely identifies, tests, deploys, and verifies security patches.
Assist other technical support staff in identifying and implementing appropriate security safeguards, including patch application and anti-malware strategies.
Responsible for analysis, programming, testing, implementation, and maintenance of security solutions based on organizational business requirements.
High level of project planning and implementation skills to meet project schedule and ensure quality.
Meets business requirements in alignment with FCH Enterprises Inc. and IT strategic plan and priorities.
Documents IT-related guides, processes and/or procedures
Continually improves processes and procedures and ensures that standard operating procedures and documentation are consistently followed and updated.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Able to commute to and from work sites and to store locations (mileage reimbursement)
Must be a resident of Hawaii
WORKING CONDITIONS:
· 90% of time sitting and 10% of time standing / walking
· Direct contact with administrative staff and management
· Expected to behave professionally and adapt to a changing environment
· Speaks English fluently and able to communicate with the workforce’s varying abilities in language and understanding
· Excellent writing skills to document system and network configurations and User guides
· Limited job structure exists; situations are diverse, although not unique, require considerable creative and mental aptitude
· Works independently with minimal supervision
· Requires interpretative skills; a high degree of analysis using logical, evaluative or professional thinking is necessary to define problems, collect information, establish facts and form valid solutions
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Scheduling
· Typically, Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
· May require working outside of normal hours including weekends and holidays.
2. Pre-Employment Requirements:
· Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
3. Education & Certifications:
· 4 - Year College Degree
· IT Certifications in appropriate discipline preferred
· Willing to substitute relevant work experience in lieu of the above education and certification requirement
4. Knowledge & Experience:
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
· Knowledge of system and application security threats and vulnerabilities
· Requires knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems.
· Requires thorough understanding on network topologies (LAN/WAN) and the TCP/IP protocol
· Requires prior working experience with network hardware, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
· A working understanding of wireless networking protocols and security mechanisms
· A working understanding of virtualization technology.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, primary importance on Word and Excel.
· Familiarity with PCI Compliance preferred.

· Thorough understanding of computer-related security systems including firewalls, encryption, and password protection and authentication.
