Pharmacist Per Diem

What Are We Looking for?

We are looking for a Per Diem Pharmacist. Experience working in substance/behavioral treatment center required. Reports to the Director or Pharmacy

Job Responsibilities:

• Orders and received medication from appropriate source and conducts inventory of controlled substances
• Reports all variances as required by state and federal regulations
• Prepares accurately medication doses for patients in levels and dosage amounts as prescribed
• Keeps adequate control over requesting and dispensing of all drugs and pharmaceutical supplies
• Reviews and interprets the prescription of inpatient and outpatient using computerized patient profiles to ensure the appropriateness of dosage and to determine the significance of potential drug-drug interactions
• Contacts and confers with healthcare provides concerting the appropriate drug, dose, interval, drug allergy and drug-drug interaction
• Fills automated dispensing machines and accurately prepares and dispenses appropriate amount of inpatient and outpatient medication.

Required qualifications:

• Active License in the State of Florida as Registered Pharmacist
• Graduated from accredited school of Pharmacy as Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. or equivalent
• Experience working in substance/behavioral treatment center required
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained
