Job Description

We are currently looking for an experienced individual to join our team as a Registration Officer. The Registration Officer is responsible for guiding students on the programming of available courses and assisting them in the selection and registration of their courses considering their needs.

AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Assist and guide the student on the availability of courses and the different study modalities such as face-to-face, online, combined, semesters, and by term.
  • Encourage the use of the online registration tools and assist the student during the process.
  • Register courses and assist the student in requests for withdrawals, registrations, and cancellations, according to the academic calendar and the regulations of the Registrar’s Office.
  • Promote the use of technological tools for the registration process and course changes in the student's class program.
  • Refer to the corresponding units the cases that arise relevant to the need that the student may present concerning course enrollment.
  • Evaluate the documents received in the area and ensure they comply with the established rules and procedures. Execute the corresponding processes as applicable in each case.
  • Guide the student through AGMU educational resources and support services.
  • Guide and disseminate information to students about the AGMU rules and regulations and other communications of interest to them.
  • Participate in marketing, recruitment, or student activities, among others, as required.
  • Ensure the application of the policies and confidentiality in document processing and information handling in compliance with the applicable laws.
  • Follow up on enrollment cohorts assigned by the supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with the academic standards of enrolled students, in coordination with the Registrar's Office.
  • Provide follow-up on students who have not completed their course selection and registration.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration from a recognized university.
  • Two (2) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Mastery of business productivity technology tools and remote communication technologies to support his/her functions and deliver services physically and remotely.
  • Service-oriented.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships with UAGM's internal and external environment.
  • Knowledge of computerized systems and their programs.
  • Ability to express effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.
