Staff Accountant

Growing renewable energy engineering and services company based in Golden is seeking a staff accountant.

Staff Accountant

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Calculate and post month end journal entries
• Daily and monthly reconciliation of bank and company credit card statements
• Manage fixed assets
• Cash Management
• Manage A/P
• Work with warehouse and construction team to process requisitions and purchase orders
• Quick, efficient, and accurate Accounts Payable procedures (retrieving invoices, appropriately coding, entry and managing approval)
• Proactive resolutions of issues as they arise
• Queue and process transactions for payment, distribute checks, reconcile external payment systems
• Oversee vendor compliance - drafting credit apps, request COIs, W9s, OSHA logs, and sub-contractor agreements
• Learn and implement a new Procurement and Spend management process, eager to learn and take ownership of this transition
• Enter inventory material transfers. Assist with inventory counts upon request
• Special projects relating to the implementation of new technologies and processes
• Assist with various financial accounting tasks upon request

Background:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and 3-5+ years of accounting experience (construction accounting experience is a plus)
• Hands-on experience with mainstream accounting and productivity software
• Technically savvy with strong Microsoft Office and advanced Excel skills
• Well organized with a keen eye for detail and drive to meet deadlines
• You love working with people and play well as a member of the team

Salary & Perks:

Annual pay between $65,000 to $70,000
