Buyer (Direct Hire)

Remedy is honored to have been selected to support an innovative international manufacturer as they embark on a key search to welcome a new Buyer to their excellent team. This Buyer will be responsible for executing commodity strategies in support of strategic purchasing initiatives and identifying productivity and supplier rationalization opportunities for direct materials. You will work as an international liaison for both the US and Spain procurement teams. Here is more detailed information for this very exciting opportunity:

Job Title: Buyer

Job Type: Full-time/Salaried/Direct Hire

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

Salary: Up to $80k, depending upon prior expertise

Essential functions for this Buyer will include:

• Work directly with vendors to place purchase orders, monitor any updates or adjustments to the orders as needed.
• Build rapport with vendors and travel to suppliers sites when needed.
• Support inventory planning, general purchasing practices, contract negotiations and supplier management.
• Generate reports via the ERP system that will be used for improving processes and procedures within the department.
• Sourcing/purchasing materials and determining the right vendors based on quality,
  cost and schedule constraints.
• Review and reconcile supplier invoices to closure using ERP system

We're looking for Buyers with the following background profile:

• Associates degree in Business, Operations Management, or Supply Chain or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree preferred
• A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a supply chain purchasing role, planning, and/or scheduling within a manufacturing environment is required
• Proven project management experience, negotiation and problem solving skills.
• Excellent ERP systems experience and strong knowledge in MS Office
• Blueprint reading and mechanical/assembly knowledge a huge plus!
