PRODUCTION ASSEMBLER Lvl 1

SUMMARY
As an electronics assembler, you will use a variety of hand tools, fixtures, work instructions and drawings to accurately assemble battery packs and supporting products. You will build and test battery packs, circuit boards, and wire harnesses, reviewing your work to ensure adherence to approved quality and safety standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Assembly and testing of electro-mechanical devices and battery packs in accordance with current good manufacturing practices, manufacturing and test instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Level 1
Taping and Gluing, Heat Shrinking, Fastening, Resistance Welding, Basic Hand Soldering, Component Prepping, Testing, Labeling, Packaging, etc.
Level 2
Includes all items listed in Level 1 plus Advanced Hand Soldering, Wire Harness Assembly, Advanced Testing, etc.
- Utilize ERP system to access electronic documentation and log time and material transactions.
- Perform inspections to ensure that quality standards are met.
- Fill out travelers and production logs.
- Supports troubleshooting efforts on internal test failures.

This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, BOMs, manufacturing instructions.
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment such as Rulers, Calipers, Micrometers, Microscopes, and Inspection Aids.
- Basic computer skills using Microsoft Office programs.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations.
- Must read, write, and speak fluent English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Understanding of statistical mathematics as applied to quality assurance applications.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with complex problems and operate independently.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
The following certifications are preferred, but not required
- IPC-600, Acceptability of Printed Circuit Boards
- IPC-A-610, Acceptability of Electronic Assemblies
- IPC/WHMA-A-620, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
- IPC J-STD-001, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
