Job Description: As an Infant Toddler Program Director at Kama’aina Kids, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and development of our youngest learners. Our NEW Infant Toddler center in Lahaina will serve up to 18 children. You will work closely with a small team, ensuring a nurturing and enriching environment for our infants and toddlers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Oversee a classroom of infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety, engagement, and development.
  • Staff Mentor: Provide support and training for other staff, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care.
  • Curriculum and Quality Programs: Maintain and enhance curriculum quality, ensuring educational programs align with best practices.
  • Health and Safety Measures: Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to create a secure environment for children.
  • Parent Communication: Foster positive relationships with families, keeping them informed about their child’s progress.
  • Enrollment: Help manage children’s enrollment, ensuring accurate records and compliance with state regulations.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Handle some administrative tasks, scheduling, and coordination to ensure smooth operations.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Candidates must meet the education and experience qualifications for “Lead Caregivers” as set forth by Hawai’i DHS. (PATCH HAWAII LINK)
    • Experience: Prior experience in early childhood education or childcare management is preferred.
    • Passion: A genuine love for working with infants and toddlers.
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a small team, inspire excellence, and maintain a positive work environment.
    • Communication: Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and community members.
    • Hours: The program operates from approximately 7:00 am to 4:00 pm.
