Job Summary:The Vice President in the ECM group will lead efforts in structuring and executing equity and equity-linked transactions, including IPOs, follow-ons, private placements, and convertible securities. This senior role demands strategic thinking, deep market knowledge, and the ability to manage complex client relationships and transactions.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute equity financing strategies for clients, including structuring and managing public and private equity offerings.
- Lead transaction teams through all phases of deal execution, from pitch to close.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, institutional investors, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze market trends and provide insights and advice on equity market conditions to clients and internal teams.
- Collaborate with other departments (M&A, Debt Capital Markets) to provide comprehensive financial solutions to clients.
- Oversee the preparation of pitch books, financial models, and marketing materials for equity offerings.
- Mentor and manage junior staff, ensuring professional growth and effective contribution to the team.
- Negotiate terms with clients and manage the due diligence process.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the transaction process.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences and contribute to thought leadership in equity capital markets.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a significant focus on equity capital markets.
- Demonstrated track record of leading successful equity transactions.
- Deep understanding of financial markets, investment banking products, and regulatory environment.
- Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and quantitative skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience in team management.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
