Job Details

Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a smart, motivated, and accomplished Senior Mechanical Design Engineer who can roll up their sleeves and continue to drive innovation and growth of our unique products. If you have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in systems, mechanical, electrical or manufacturing engineering role, in a regulated industry such as medical device, automotive or defense, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications Required:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 5-10 years of direct experience in lieu of the bachelor’s degree. Prefer BS in System, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering disciplines.

Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years of experience mechanical design engineering experience.

Position Requirements:

· 5-10 years’ experience in new product design and design changes

Electrical and electronic assembly enclosure design

Plastic molded components and assemblies

Metal castings and post-secondary machining operations

Medical device motor and gear design

Electronic assembly thermal design

· 5+ years’ experience working within regulated quality management systems

· Advance skills in CAD design and PLM systems

· Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems

· Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment

· People skills that support the ability to work cross functional

· Attention to detail and data accuracy

General Job Description

· Responsible for new product design and design improvements

· Develop and maintain key suppliers within supply chain

· Responsible for the execution and completion of Engineering Change Notices (ECN), deviations and all related configuration management activities

· Take a lead role ensuring product design are successfully introduced into manufacturing

· Access change impact in accordance with CFR 820, ISO 13485 or ISO 9000

· Responsible for assessing change impact to product safety and efficacy as it relates to risk management, ISO 14971

· Manage the status of items as they move through the product life cycle.

· Demonstrate understating of the New Product Introduction (NPI) cycle

· Review and assess an individual ECN in the context of the overall product

· Analyze and prioritize ECNs to maximize efficiencies

· Responsible for smooth integration of change Items into Production areas

· Establish and maintain a close working relationship with cross-functional partners

· Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the change management process
