Multiple Shifts Available: 5:00 am -1:30 pm, and 2:00pm-10:30 pm (days vary)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Warehouse associate is responsible for the timely processing of inbound and outbound packages with priority given to all overnight and refrigerated deliveries. The Receiver ensures that packages are received according to related SOPs, utilize package tracking and scan to the proper staging area before they reach their final destination. The Receivers collaborate with department auditors when required to resolve any receiving discrepancies to ensure timely payment to vendor.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Courteous, with ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various backgrounds

· Must be able to work independently and within a team environment

· Capable of working in a fast-paced environment, able to budget his/her time and activities as needed to accomplish the tasks at hand to meet daily deadlines. Must also be able to follow a schedule and instructions

· Ability to identify and sort items, count accurately and determine the correct unit of measure

· Ability to read and write in English

· Must have a good attention to detail

· Must be willing to learn and operate Warehouse Management System (WMS) technologies

· Must be willing to learn and operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

· Assists in accurately pulling, filling, asset tagging, packing and setting up orders for delivery

· General computer skills and ability to work with the latest technology in a paper or paperless environment to perform picking/pulling/staging and cross-docking orders

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:

· Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience- Reach Truck, Order Picker, Powered Pallet-jack, Forklift

· Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· General knowledge of a variety of basic topics, such as math, reading, basic accounting, typing, etc.

· High school diploma, GED and equivalent work experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

· Prior experience working in distribution

· Prior experience working in a production/goal oriented environment

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrates, Hospital's core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork

· Ensures the accuracy of all shipping/receiving documents and gathers and maintains all data and records relative to shipping/receiving activities

· Utilize material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to transport product to shipping locations or delivery platforms and ensuring orders are staged for delivery

· Complete pre-shift equipment inspection as required; report any unsafe conditions to management

· Assures that shipping/receiving counts match picking/purchase order documents and assists in resolving any discrepancies

· Collects all documentation for outbound freight and ensures all documents including receiving paperwork are filed appropriately

· Follow all safety guidelines while operating powered equipment

· Complete training course and pass Powered Industrial Truck Certification (PIT) requirements

· Must meet established minimum productivity standards in a fast-paced working environment.

· Ability to build and transport a stable pallet of various products

· Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in solving work problems

· Identify correct supplies and applicable unit of measure

· Maintain a quality of work that limits miss-receipts, shorts and damages

· Confirm received order on the computer or equivalent technology; verify the order; label the containers

· Maintain a clean and neat working environment

· Contact vendors as necessary regarding overages, shortages, and damages.

· Dispose of waste materials

· Work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends, as scheduled

· Provides regular feedback to supervisors and managers on teammate performance

· Performs other duties as assigned or directed by supervisor/lead

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Payment frequency:


  • Paid biweekly

Schedule:


  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
