Supply Sales Rep (Sales Trainee)

As the Supply Sales Representative, you will work closely with Sales representatives by reaching out to current or prospective customers to inform them of the Company’s promotional sales or offerings and check on printer supply levels. This includes both cold and warm calling for prospective sales. You will assist Sales reps in responding to customer or client questions about their orders over the phone or through email. A successful candidate will have an interest in a career in sales with previous customer service or call center experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Supply Sales Representative performs a range of duties, including but not limited to the following:

• Works closely with Sales Representatives (SR) and assists SRs with administrative tasks as necessary
• Responds to Customer questions/inquiries about orders or promotions
• Assists the sales team with preparing and sending out literature packs to share company promotions/info with prospective clients
• Participates in training and development courses with an emphasis on sales
• Maintains knowledge of company products and offerings; ongoing sales initiatives
• Calls customers to inform them of ongoing sales initiatives or check on supply inventory; inputs new orders for customers
• Inputs customer information or order information into the NetSuite platform correctly 
• Checks on the status of orders as needed
• Identifies sales opportunities and shares with SRs or the Sales Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a similar field preferred
• 1 - 3 years of previous Customer Service or Call Center experience preferred; or a combination of education and experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Ability to quickly learn new systems (computer software)
• Effective communicator, both written and verbally in English
• Comfortable making cold calls
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
• Shows initiative and looks for ways to improve the organization or create sales opportunities
• Excellent attention to detail 
• Ability to troubleshoot or problem-solve unexpected issues

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand or sit in a stationary position for long periods; occasionally move around the office and reach into cabinets, drawers, etc.; ability to lift up to 25 pounds. 

Working Conditions: Standard office environment with fluorescent lighting, regular interruptions, and a standard noise level.
