Driver (Part Time)

We are seeking a part-time Driver to transport residents on outings off-campus as well as shuttle residents on-site. 

Regular Schedule:

Option 1: 16 hours per week

Monday and Tuesday - 1-9pm

Option 2: 20 hours per week

Monday and Tuesday 11am-9pm

This position would also be the back up person for staff call outs on weekends and holidays. Weekend hours are 12-9 Saturday and Sunday.

Responsibilities:

• Drive residents on trips.
• Maintain vehicles according to manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, maintain cleanliness of interior/exterior of vehicle and ensure snow is removed from vehicles before operating.
• Fill out vehicle inspection sheet weekly.
• Ensure that all safety features of the vehicle are in working condition; test the Accessibility Platform quarterly.
• Ensure residents’ safety on trips and provide assistance while boarding and un-boarding.
• Communicate resident concerns/suggestions to Director of Community Living.
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected.
  
• Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current drivers license
• Must be able to safely operate and drive 14 passenger bus.
• Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in an elder care setting.
