Job DescriptionCompany Description
The Victory Academy Lead Teacher is responsible for the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional
growth & development of all children in their care. A Lead Teacher is responsible for assuring that their
classroom is in compliance with NC childcare laws, and is expected to work as a team with fellow staff
members to accomplish daily goals while maintaining harmony in the classroom and amongst the children
and families we serve.
Position Responsibilities
- Prepares and implements lesson plans, bible lessons, daily schedule, and newsletters.
- Maintains structure and consistency in the classroom
- Works directly with children
- Develops relationship with children, parents, and other staff members
- Creates an exciting and stimulating classroom environment
- Provide quality supervision continuously throughout the day
- Diapering daily in age-appropriate rooms and properly sanitizing/disinfecting after each change
- Potty training and handling soiled/wet clothing should an accident occur
- Maintain flexibility in working in all classrooms
- Develops great relationship with the children and parents.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
- Trains and guides new staff.
- Attends all staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education
- NCECC from a licensed/accredited program is preferred, but not required.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a childcare classroom setting preferred, but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- A love and passion for children and Jesus!
- Great communication skills and proper grammar (verbal written)
- Must be CPR Certified
- Problem-solving, resourcefulness, and priority-setting skills.
- Ability to bend, lift and carry up to 35-40lbs.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 40 hours
