The Meadowood Spa is a Sanctuary within the Garden of Meadowood and serves as a resource of Health, Wellness and Relaxation for our members and guests. We are teachers, providers and guides who live our work within a “Spirit of Service” for each other and ourselves.

Position Summary:

This Spa Lounge Attendant requires an individual who is energetic, gracious and service oriented with an affinity for order and cleanliness. This person must be experienced in hospitality, friendly, accommodating and well spoken. His or her lifestyle must reflect the current standards of good health, fitness and grooming.

Major Responsibilities & Work Activities:

• Be knowledgeable about all resort and spa packages, facilities, etc.
• Assists with the cleanliness and organization of the dressing rooms, relaxation lounges and wet areas.
• Maintain par stock levels of towels washcloths, robes, linens, etc.
• Clean lockers upon guests arrival and departure.
• Coordinate laundry pick up and delivery between locker, treatment and laundry rooms. Run wash-dry cycles of laundry.
• Maintain stock levels of supplies according to purchase order system.
• Ability to recommend treatments/classes to guests.
• Communicate any guest problems/complaints to supervisor.
• Maintain cleanliness of sauna and steam room and place designated oils in sauna and steamroom according to procedures.
• Prepare and distribute mineral water, herbal teas and fruits to guests in lounge area, when applicable.
• Adheres to resort policies and procedures.
• Problem-solving, selling and quality service
• Professional image through dress, posture, poise
• Ability to deal with people in a courteous manner under demanding situations.
• Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• Ensure that guests experience the highest standard of hospitality and service during their visit to the Meadowood Spa.

Operations & Team Support

• Attends on-going training and classes.
• Adheres to departmental policies and procedures.
• Adheres to resort policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates respect and support of Spa staff
• Performs other tasks as needed

• Must be outgoing and friendly
• Must have a genuine willingness to provide uncompromising service to guests
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to handle stress graciously
• Must present a professional personal appearance according to Meadowood standard.
• Must have multitasking skills and critical thinking skills to solve problems.

Experience Required:

• Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)/Interpersonal Skills.
• Must be outgoing and friendly.

Mathematical Skills

Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication).

• Softly lit treatment room with natural lighting with spa music provided
