We are looking for a versatile candidate that can fill a Shop/Field Service Technician Position.

Ideal candidate will have extensive understanding of pumps, motors, controls, valves, piping and everything related to pumping systems.

This is a Shop/Field Service Technician Position. Field Service would be required for this position. Field Services are completed within the Chicago Metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

*Candidate would drive service vehicle to stops

*Remove pumps, motors, valves, piping and deliver to facilities for service

*Must be experienced with Lock out, Isolation of valving, removal and re-installation of pumping equipment

*Experienced with Pipe Fitting. Materials included: Steel, Copper, Galvanized, PVC (Solder, Threading, Grooving, Etc)

*Experienced with Laser and/or Dial Indicator Alignment

*Wiring of three phase motors

*Experience with Control Panels, Controls, Switches using 230V/460V/3PH Power

*Experienced with installing pumps, motors, controls, valves, bases, floats, etc.

*Strong Mechanical Aptitude

*Has own tools (We provide tools as well)

*Has a valid drivers' license

*Able to lift at least 50 pounds, may have to lift heavy weight from time to time.

*Experienced with Chain Falls, Engine Hoists and A Frames.

*A responsible self starting individual

*Capable of managing multiple projects

*Organized

*Effectively communicate ideas to team

*Knowledge of Oxy-Acetaline Torches

*Knowledge of tolerancing (Using Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators, Bore Gauges, etc)

*Quick learner

*Understands the overhaul procedures of pumping equipment: wastewater, domestic water, condensate, boiler feed, etc.

*Welding or Electrical Experience is a plus
