Job Description
Company providing repair of commercial cooking equipment to restaurants, hospitals and schools needs Data Entry/Office Assistant. Duties include but are not limited to setting up new customer accounts, entering invoices, receiving payments, posting to data base and making bank deposits. Reviewing customers accounts for past due status and calling to obtain payment. Entering new items, receiving’s and sales into inventory control data base. Updating inventory prices. Maintaining supplier parts return file and calling for credit. Answer phones and obtain information for service calls or directing call to proper person to achieve customer satisfaction. File customer invoices and supplier invoices. Create new files for customers and suppliers. Maintain call log in excel. Process credit applications and certificate of insurance requests.
Skills needed:
Able to manage a large amount of incoming calls
Obtain accurate, valid and compete information
Excellent communications skills both written and oral
Ability to multi task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Good grasp of numbers including calculating sales tax in different jurisdictions
Data entry, word processing and excel
Accurately enter information into various computer programs
Analyze data for errors
Keep sensitive customer and company information confidential
Team player
Willing to take on new tasks as they arise
High school degree
