Warehouse Clerk/Forklift Operator

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Shipping & Receiving Warehouse air and ocean traffic clerk, to coordinate freight packing in and out to load, per customer instructions. We serve Latin America and the Caribbean. As a Warehouse Specialist, the Warehouse Clerk will be responsible for daily warehousing operations such as shipping & receiving, controlling, organizing cargo, and inputting basic data into the system. You will also s prepare items for shipment. Work both in office and warehouse is required.

Responsibilities:

• Screen shipments in accordance with TSA requirements.
• Accurately capture the weight and dimensions of all shipments.
• Prepare shipments for international export and domestic forwarding.
• Receives merchandise - inspect cargo and signs delivery slips and assists with unloading as necessary.
• May operate the forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
• Maintain warehouse and shelves clean, secured, and tidy!
• Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, and operating forklift and pallet jacks for large goods.

Qualifications:

• High school or equivalent preferred.
• Need background check.
• Minimum 1 year of operations experience in the logistics/shipping industry preferred not required
• Must be fluent in English and Spanish, both written and oral.
• Attention to detail.
• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred).
• Ability to lift 30 lbs and organize in pallets, small and midsize boxes.
• Ability to operate forklift and organize in warehouse.
• Knows safe storage and handling procedures preferred.

• Compensation and Benefits:
• Pay: Starting at $37,440 USD per year ($18/hr).

Schedule:

• Full Time.
• 8-hour day shift 8:30 to 5 pm.
• Monday to Friday.
• Paid Overtime only when required.

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: From $37,800.00 and up depending on experience per year
