Software Developer (SQL)
Residency in Michigan and regular onsite work are mandatory requirements for this position, with no option for relocation. Additionally, candidates must have the legal right to work in the United States, and no visa sponsorship or support is provided for this role.
The Developer actively participates in the day-to-day operations of the IT department to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. Primary responsibilities are to develop, modify and code system applications, maintain the corporate ERP system, work with senior developer on feature requests and modifications of corporate business systems, and answer application-related service desk tickets. Individual projects will supplement primary duties.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborate with other developers to design, build, and maintain line of business applications.
- Documentation of software projects.
- Report writing using SQL report server and Power BI.
- Review and test software modifications and new releases.
- Programming SQL of modifications.
- Diagnose and provide solutions to system problems.
- Work with business analysts to provide optimizations to business systems and processes.
- Assist with IT service desk calls and tickets.
- Provide end user documentation and training for customized corporate applications.
- Responsible for meeting project deadlines and updating open projects and assignments in the IT service desk application.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining the System Architecture of the Company with the goal of 100% up-time.
- Support a positive work environment.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IS, IT or related field (will consider equivalent work experience).
- Three (3) years experience with MS SQL database programming.
- Experience with IIS and securing web sites a plus.
- Experience with .Net framework.
- Experience writing code in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Visual Basic, Python, and C#.
- Ability to follow documented processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
- Experience with database management and security a plus.
- MS Office software expertise.
- Ability to create documentation for business processes, code changes, and end user training.
- Some travel to corporate branch offices may be required.
- Organizational skills required to prioritize, plan and coordinate work activities and resources in area of responsibility.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with associates, customers, business partners and management team. Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.
A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position. In addition, NO C2C or 3rd parties please.
