Job Description
We are looking for Welder Helpers to assist in the fabrication and welding of products. They will work as part of a team to ensure efficient and high-quality welding operations while adhering to safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Set up equipment and tools necessary for welding, including grinders, chippers, clamps, and safety gear
- Move materials and equipment to welding stations
- Position and hold materials for the welder
- Monitor gas levels and adjust pressure settings
- Clean slag and spatter from welds
- Help with grinding and finishing welds
- Clean and inspect welding equipment regularly
- Monitor stock levels of welding consumables (e.g., rods, wire, flux) and restock as needed
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Able to travel
- Strong physical fitness and stamina
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- Basic understanding of metalworking principles
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Commitment to safety and quality
