Job Description

InfraHire is looking for an HVAC Duct Estimator in Chandler, AZ.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate should possess substantial experience in estimating commercial mechanical HVAC ductwork.

Responsibilities:

Examine project blueprints, specifications, and pertinent documents to grasp the project's scope.
Conduct a comprehensive assessment of project needs, encompassing materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to clarify project specifics and anticipate potential obstacles or opportunities.
Conduct precise quantity takeoffs from project drawings and specifications.
Research and collect pricing data for materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Utilize cost databases, historical records, and industry standards to estimate expenses.
Create detailed cost estimates, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and indirect costs.
Solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors for various project elements.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for scope, competitiveness, and compliance.
Negotiate pricing and terms with subcontractors and suppliers to secure cost-efficient solutions.
Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate future collaboration and bidding.
Compile bid packages, ensuring all necessary documentation and qualifications are included.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to review and finalize bid submissions.
Submit bids within specified deadlines and follow up as needed.

Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience as a Duct Estimator within the construction sector.
Robust analytical and mathematical abilities. Skilled in comprehending and interpreting project blueprints, specifications, and related documentation.
Thorough understanding of construction materials, techniques, and machinery. Knowledgeable about cost databases, industry standards, and pricing references.
Capable of conducting precise quantity takeoffs, estimating costs, and generating accurate conceptual budgets.
Experience in soliciting and assessing bids from subcontractors and suppliers. Effective negotiation and communication aptitudes.
Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently. Proficiency in relevant software and estimation tools.
Understanding of project budgeting and financial forecasting.
Familiarity with project closure procedures and documentation.
