Geological Engineer - Geotechnical PM

Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is actively seeking an experienced Geological Engineer / Project Manager to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of civil infrastructure projects spanning the picturesque Pacific Northwest.

The ideal candidate for this pivotal role should bring to the table a wealth of experience, with a minimum of 8 years as a Geological Engineer / Engineering Geologist. Your expertise should be centered on overseeing geotechnical engineering projects of various complexities, including but not limited to slope stability, rockfall, landslide, dams, and associated retaining structures, with scopes of up to $10 million. You should be well-versed in fostering strong customer relations, developing proposals, meticulously reviewing project cost estimates, performing comprehensive technical engineering design and conditional reviews, effectively managing budgets, expertly scheduling resources, and engaging in onsite geotechnical observations of construction as deemed necessary.

As the Geotechnical Engineer, you will be entrusted with taking the lead in directing project activities across a dynamic portfolio of ongoing projects throughout the states of Washington and Oregon. You will have the opportunity to manage a multi-disciplinary team of skilled professionals, while expertly assessing conditions and providing in-depth reviews and geotechnical engineering designs for complex civil infrastructure projects. Your role will additionally encompass the oversight of all sampling and laboratory testing activities related to soils and rock, particularly on projects within the transportation, energy, and federal marketplace sectors.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or Geological Sciences, with a preference for candidates holding a Master's degree in Geological Engineering or Engineering Geology. You must be professionally registered as a Certified Engineering Geologist and/or a Professional Engineer (PE) in the states of Oregon, Washington, and/or California.
