Position purpose:

Keep all bar stocked of service ware - product & Ice as needed.  Keep bar area(s) and beverage stock areas clean and organized.  Assist bartenders with clearing glasses and plates off of bar.  Run dirty plates back to dish area.  Clean all glassware at bar.                                                                                                                 

Essential Elements:

• Regular and punctual attendance.
• Ability to stand and walk continuously.
• Ability to bend, squat, and reach.
• Ability to move freely within food outlet area.

• Ability to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds in the overhand style of service.
• Ability to push and/or pull carts weighing approximately 100 pounds.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and other employees.

• Ability to interact with guests and other employees in a courteous, empathetic, and discreet manner.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic, including use of percentages.
• Ability to read and write effectively.
• Ability to work with chemicals, for example: cleaners and disinfectants.
• Ability to work in temperature extremes, including handling hot utensils and equipment.

Job Tasks:

• Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shift.
• Run Food as needed from Kitchen
• Wash Dirty Glassware – Bar Service Equipment
• Stock & Restock all Bar Glassware
• Check stock of all Beer/Wine/Liquor Products and re-stock according to PAR
• Prepare & Stock Garnishes – Juices – Mixers
• Check Soda BIB System
• Check Kegs for Empties and Switch Out to Full
• Stock - Restock Ice behind bar as needed
• Clear Bar after guest departs.
• Take soiled tableware to dishroom and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off area.
• Soiled bar glassware should be kept at bar and processed through the glass washer
• Check and clean dirt and debris behind bar and in the immediate area surrounding bar stools.
• Clean up any broken glassware / serviceware
• Run bar mats through main dishwasher at the end of the night
• Mop Behind Bar
• Alert Manager / Supervisor of deficiencies in equipment / drains etc…
• Communicate with server and bartender
• Assist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods.
• Thank guests as they are leaving
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the bar/ restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. 

Experience:

• Preferred: minimum of (1-2) years Restaurant/Bar experience

Licenses or Certificates:

• TIPS Certification within 60 days of Employment
• Must meet any city, county, state or other legal minimum age requirement to sell/serve alcoholic beverages.
