Dunnage Clerk

ResourceMFG is seeking a Dunnage Clerk for a warehouse in Troy, MI. This position will work in the dunnage room and will report to the production manager. This position will also serve as a backup for warehouse and shipping.

Shift: 8:00am 4:30pm 

Pay: $16 per hour (Including Attendance Bonus)

Job duties include but are not limited to: 

• Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory ensuring each item is store in the appropriate area.
• When incoming material is received, place material on appropriate racks.
• Clean dunnage totes
• Operate trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to move freight.
• Wash trays
• Put away supplies
• Ensure work area is clean and organized at the end of each shift; organize pallets, clean floor, unloading trash, recycling cardboards, etc.
• General warehouse cleaning
• Comply with all warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
• Perform various miscellaneous warehouse tasks as needed.
• Ensure replenishment areas are stocked daily.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders/schedule based on customer requirements. 
• Utilize the scanning and computer system for all ‘work in progress’ and ‘finished’ goods.
• This position may also perform the duties of the shipping material handler, if needed

Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is subject the following work environment:

• The employee is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions.
• The employee is required to work on a dock.
• The employee may be subjected to extreme cold: temperatures typically between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit and occasionally may be exposed to temperatures of zero degrees Fahrenheit.
•  The employee is subject to hazards including moving pallets; material and/or equipment handling.
• The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year previous experience working in warehouse environment
• At least 1 year recent experience operating stand up forklift and other PIT
• Ability to perform repetitive motions
• Ability to lift and move up to 60lbs consistently throughout shift
