Job Description

Job title: The job title is Electrical Engineer in a company based in Miami, Florida.
Job purpose and main responsibilities: The job purpose is to design and develop electronic circuitry and systems using modern tools and methods. The main responsibilities include: researching, planning, designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating electronic and electrical systems; providing engineering consultation and support to other technical groups; conducting and supporting subsystem and system integration and verification activities; leading RTCA/DO-160 Environmental Qualification Testing; generating peripheral documentation; utilizing high level logic development language; leading corrective action, troubleshooting and analysis for product performance and end of life components; specifying and designing test equipment; aiding in the generation of software; evaluating vendor capabilities and services; and ensuring technical and project outcomes are consistent with established engineering and management principles and practices.
Reporting structure and degree of independence: The Electrical Engineer reports to the R&D Manager and works with a significant amount of independence, while taking direction from Engineering Management. The Electrical Engineer also mentors and leads a multi-disciplinary team of Engineers.
