Role Overview
As our Research & Development Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing the certification and approval processes that are critical to our operations in the U.S. market. This strategic position ensures that our fire safety products not only meet but exceed the stringent compliance requirements necessary for market entry. You will be instrumental in shaping the compliance strategies that allow our products to achieve rapid market penetration and high customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the certification and approval processes for new products, ensuring alignment with national and international fire safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key certification agencies, including but not limited to UL, to expedite the approval process.
  • Collaborate closely with global R&D teams and the Director of Compliance to integrate certification requirements seamlessly into the product development lifecycle.
  • Spearhead the creation and continuous improvement of compliance documentation such as installation instructions, data sheets, and technical manuals, ensuring they meet the highest standards of clarity and precision.
  • Work with diverse internal stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams, to advocate for compliance priorities and resource needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, with a preference for majors in Electrical, Mechanical, or Fire Safety Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in electronics manufacturing, with a strong preference for candidates who have led compliance or certification projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of certification processes, especially in relation to fire safety and protection products; direct experience with UL or similar regulatory bodies highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including project management, decision-making, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of crafting clear and impactful documents and presentations, as well as engaging effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Vacation: 2-4 weeks depending on years of service. Accrued 1/26 per pay period after completion of 90 days of employment.
