EQUIPMENT CLEANER

JOB DUTIES:

Mission Pharmacal, a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, is seeking an Equipment Cleaner to join our team in Boerne, TX.

1. Cleans and sterilizes machinery, machine parts, and equipment used to process or store products such as chemicals and tablets.
2. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, and vacuums the hallways, stairs, office spaces and product areas. Empties heavy trash and garbage containers.
3. Operates buffer and floor scrubbers.
4. Notifies management concerning needs for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
5. Turns valves to drain machines or tanks and disconnects pipes.
6. Sprays machines, tanks, and conveyors with water to loosen and remove dirt or other foreign matter. Scrubs machines, tanks, tables, pans, bowls, compartments, bins and conveyors.
7. Connects hoses and lines to pump and starts pump to circulate cleaning and sterilizing solution through hoses and lines.
8. Scrubs interior of disconnected pipes, valves, spigots, gauges and meters.
9. Mixes cleaning solutions and dilute acids. Draws samples of cleaning solutions from mixing tanks for laboratory analysis.
10. Replaces defective sections of metal coils and lines. Lubricates machinery.

REQUIREMENTS:

One year general work experience or equivalent education.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Schedule: Monday-Wednesday: 6:00 am – 4:30 pm; Thursday: 6:00 am -4:00 pm
Pay: $16.00
