Plumber

Summary: Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies. Perform routine inspections of plumbing and drainage systems. Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Install and repair plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, water fountains, and water heaters,
2. Repair and maintain plumbing by replacing washers in leaky faucets, mending burst pipes, and opening clogged drains.
3. Assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
4. Study building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations.
5. Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic, using hand tools and power tools.
6. Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, using hand tools and power tools.
7. Familiarity with PVC, CPVC, PEX, cast iron, and copper
8. Respond to, diagnose, and resolve plumbing emergencies.
9. Arrive on time and ready to work assigned schedule.
10. Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling and electrical work as required.
11. Present all paperwork required in an accurate and timely manner and keep detailed reports of work done at various job sites.
12. Proficient in English oral and written communication skills.
13. Attend all scheduled meetings.
14. Accept and implement special assignment from supervisor.
15. Able to read and adhere to labels, safety warnings, and guidelines.
16. Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and safety practices
17. Attentive to detail and always alert to ensure safety
18. Ability to complete projects unsupervised and unassisted.
19. Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
20. Always represent Tresco and all its services in a professional manner.

1. Maintain current Journeyman Plumbers License issued in New Mexico in all plumbing phases or better.

Qualifications

Experience: 5 years of plumbing experience

Licenses/Certifications. Valid driver’s license.

Rate of Pay: $18.00-$ 24.00

Hours: Varies
