Job Description

Turbocharged high-performance engine developer and manufacturer, Banks Power, is looking for a hard-working and careful Forklift Operator to support our growth. This position will be the heartbeat of our warehouse. You'll follow safety regulations and company guidelines, and ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will report to Production Supervisor.

Main Responsibilities

Drive sit-down and stand-up forklifts including narrow-aisle (7-feet wide) forklift, and other industrial vehicles such as cherry-pickers and automated pallet jacks as needed.
Pallet building and pallet picks.
Stacks crates, pallets, lumber, or other material.
Check that loads are centered and properly stacked.
Rotate stock so that the oldest items are shipped or sold first.
Load and unload product from and onto tractor trailers.
Quality assurance (QA) duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
Shrink wrap goods or otherwise secures them and prepare them for transport.
Weigh and record weights of products.
Determine when repairs need to be made on equipment.
Maintain clean work area.
Other duties assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a forklift operator working in warehouse, including minimum of one year experience manually driving narrow-aisle forklift like Bendi, Aisle Master, Raymond and Drexel.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Efficient, hardworking individual with excellent time management skills.
Ability to read and understand packaging, shipping documents, and safety guidelines.
Excellent hand-eye coordination, peripheral vision, and ability with spatial relationships.
Attention to detail.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Valid CA driver's license.
Completion of forklift driving course, a plus.
High school diploma or GED, preferred.

Hourly pay

$20—$22 USD

Actual pay offered to candidates will depend on several factors, including but not limited to, relevant candidates' experience, education, and specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.
