Radiologic Technologist - X-Ray Technologist - C-Arm

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The purpose of the Radiologic Technologist is to keep patient flow smooth in the department and provide excellent patient care and images. The technologist operates imaging equipment as ordered by physician and follows standard physician protocol.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Competently x-ray patients per physician protocol.
• Practice radiation therapy.
• Provide quality patient care.
• Transfer images to PACS.
• Assist patient in and out of wheelchair as needed.
• Take patients to exam rooms.
• Assist Clinic Assistants as needed.
• Keep equipment and room clean and neat.
• Call in service tickets for any issues with imaging equipment.
• Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by completion of a formal radiologic technology program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and valid state licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency in communication tools and collaboration platforms.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

• Proficiency in X-ray imaging software.

• Knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
• Competence in communication tools and collaboration platforms.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with safety and compliance software.
