Printing Operator

exhibitDEAL is currently seeking a Printer Operator to join our team in Miami, FL.

JOB SUMMARY:

You must have the ability to learn about our products, handle large-format printing, and keep an organized flow of projects. The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude, be smart, and self-driven.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Pre-flight and print graphic projects according to templates and client specifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Graphic Production Coordination

• Prepare daily work schedule
• Ensure all orders are produced on a timely manner and highest quality

Proofing

• Preflight client supplied artwork and troubleshooting issues regarding quality of artwork, file setup, fonts and support imagery

Pre-Press

• Review print files for accuracy against templates
• Manipulate files to get ready for printing

Printing

• Send files to corresponding printer
• Supervise printing machines for correct production
• Verify printed result against order, verify color matching requests
• Maintenance of machines

Materials

• Keep stock of printing materials and request replenishment as needed
• Manage media to ensure optimal usage and minimum waste

Organization

• Keep stocked items organized and correctly labeled
• Keep work area clean at all times

Maintain Records

• Maintaining production logs, tag and file production pictures
• Filing reports as needed for management

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

• Completion of post secondary training in graphic design, print production or similar
• Experience in the sign and graphic industry
• Graphic design knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop
• Knowledge of media & substrates, experience operating wide format printer
• Quality and customer service minded a must, ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
• Highly responsible, self-motivated and a team player required
• Excellent organizational skills; attention to detail, and accuracy

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
