Twistcafe is coming to the USA!

Do you love coffee & do you have a sweet tooth? Are you determined to make someone’s day and are you passionate about new concepts? Then you are our person. 

We are Twistcafe. A franchise group born in central Europe. From there we grew into 150 locations across Europe and UAE, and currently we are expanding to the United States. You would be the witness, and an important part of this big mark in our journey - working at our very first location right on the beautiful & sunny Venice Beach Boardwalk! 

What do we do?

We make Chimney Cakes! A delicious pastry/cake with its tradition in central Europe. Created and popularized across Hungary, Slovakia and Czechia (You could see it at any Christmas markets). Chimney cake isn’t fried, but baked, although it could remind you of the consistency of a donut. It has its own unique look and flavor, but what makes it fun is how customizable it is. You can play with multiple flavors, fillings, or just stick to the traditional one. To accompany this fun cake we also make Italian coffee. From an espresso machine, made by our trained baristas. Have your caramel Latte with a cinnamon Chimney Cake to sweeten your day! 

Job Overview:

We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate and committed baristas to join our new USA team. You will be trained to work with an espresso machine and make espresso based hot and iced drinks. You will also learn how to make the Chimney Cake from scratch following our procedures and secrets to keep the quality consistent across the world. We will provide you with training guides, so don’t worry, we don’t require you to have any experience with baking or coffee making. 

We are building a strong local dream team that can significantly improve and help us with expanding this concept to the USA successfully and with the same quality we provide in Europe. Everyone hired will be trained to be a barista, but keep your mind open to other opportunities that will open up as we grow - soon enough. We will need a supervisor for each location, area managers, shift leads, and more. If you are interested in participating more in this project, and wrap your career around it,  we will be very happy to give you more responsibilities as we go. 

The first location is on Venice Beach, that will be your home location to begin with. 

What are your day to day tasks:

- Make your customer smile and share your kind energy 

- Take orders, payments, and make desired drink or chimney cake

- Keep your store clean from the inside out, open and lock the store

- Working with the POS system

- Ensure compliance with food safety and handling guidelines

- Assist with stocking and replenishing supplies as needed 

- Communicate effectively with your supervisor/manager in case of any questions, concerns or help

Requirements:

- Previous experience is not necessary, but if you have some don’t keep it a secret! :)

- Strong ability to learn and grow

- Willingness to work, be on time, being reliable and communicate with us about anything

- Positive relationship with coffee and sweets 

- Being able to work in a team 

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.27 - $20.00 per hour (minimum wage + tips + motivational point system)

Expected hours: 20-40 per week
