Job Description
Position Summary: Responsible for efficient packaging through proper quality control measures. The following duties and responsibilities do not restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
Essential Physical Functions:
• Stand for entire shift.
• Lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• Walk, bend, kneel, twist, turn, and use of hand and fingers on a regular basis.
• Climb ladders as needed when cleaning.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Stock the line with supplies such as cartons, shippers and glue.
• Ensure that the line runs smoothly.
Remove fallen cartons from the conveyor so that obstructions don’t result.
Shut down the cartoner and remove any cartons that may become lodged.
• Inspect cartons at the end of the line by using NPC quality standards.
• Notify the operator if poor quality is noted.
• Rework cartons that blow off at the check-weigher, fail inspection at the end of the line or fail QA inspection.
• Maintain a clean work area and use proper sanitizing methods.
• Follow all safety procedures including personal protective equipment.
• Follow NPC GMP’s including the dress code.
• Work together as a team with coworkers by rotating jobs and assisting others when needed.
• Responsible for reporting food safety issues to management and/ or Quality Assurance.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• At least one year on the job experience at the same job.
• Strong work history.
• Ability to work well with others
