CNC Operator

• Office is located in Houston, TX (Spring/Tomball area)

The Position:

The CNC Operator will make machine parts by using precision computer equipment in support of production and published schedule to therefore ensure customer satisfaction, all while performing all tasks within the core values of the company. The following duties represent the CNC Operator's responsibilities:

• Operation and setup of CNC for specific tasks, selecting the right tools, calibrating the machine, ensure the material is in positioned correctly.
• Ability to program CNC by nesting and tool pathing within Mastercam via CAD drawings.
• Review CAD drawings for accuracy and the ability to convert to code to run on the CNC.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting, maintain machine tools in proper operational condition and machine operating efficiently.
• Act as the primary contact to CR Onsrud to troubleshoot CNC problems (mechanical and software related).
• Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Design fixtures, tooling, or experimental parts to meet special engineering needs.
• Run Edgebander, Bevel, and other manufacturing activities when not active in programming, maintaining, or running CNC Router.
• Responsible for Dust Collector and Air Compressors and communicate with supervisor status and required work for these areas.
• Participate in mock-ups, identify, and make changes, anticipate needs/requirements.
• Work collaboratively between Supervisor and Design to make any and all corrections for drawings.
• Adhere to all safety standards.

Education & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing or related field, or technical/vocational training preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in related field minimum.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks and Mastercam.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Woodworking experience is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
