Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Our company is searching for a talented and experienced CNC machine operator to assist in overseeing our computer numeric controlled (CNC) machines, specifically plasma/oxyfuel burning table and a 3-spindle drill line. You will be responsible for ensuring our company produces quality parts and tools specific to engineering drawings and client standards.

As the machine operator, the successful candidate will be highly skilled professional, with excellent attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. In order to excel in this role, you will also have to possess in-depth knowledge of the latest equipment and techniques emerging in the industry.

This is for second shift 4:30pm-2:30am

This is a supporting role to existing CNC operators. When not performing CNC duties, the position will assist in other fabrication duties such as operating saws and cleaning parts.

Duties:

• Translate engineering drawings and requirements into dimensions for production.
• Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the procedures and guidelines for the company.
• Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Check machinery on a daily basis to guarantee functionality and safety.
• Communicate logistics issues that arise in the process of creating a part.
• Ensure that results of machining process align with client expectations.
• Assist on other fabrication duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience operating CNC equipment in the workplace
• Prior experience operating burn table and beam line
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• Successfully complete apprenticeship
• Welding experience preferred
• Experience with Pronest/Vision NT controls and Fagor/SDS2 Controls a plus
