Facilities Technician

Compensation Range: $18.00 to $20.00/hour

FLSA Status: Nonexempt

Work Location: Duquesne Family Support Center, 1 Library Place, Duquesne, PA 15110-1155

Schedule: Flexible, on call as needed

Travel Required: Some travel may be required

The Opportunity:

Be part of a team striving to make a difference! The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh (ULGP), an organization dedicated to the economic self-reliance, parity, power, and civil rights of African Americans and other underserved in the Greater Pittsburgh area, seeks a Program Assistant.

As the Facilities Technician you would be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our Duquesne facility, ensuring it is in excellent condition. Showcase your blend of handyman capabilities, painting proficiency, and groundskeeping expertise to establish and uphold a secure, tidy, and visually appealing atmosphere.

• High school diploma or equivalent AND no experience

Education: Certifications in maintenance, carpentry, or related field is preferred.

Experience: Pervious experience as a handyman, maintenance technician and/or groundskeeper highly preferred.

Required Clearances, Licenses, and Certifications:

• Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH) prior to their first day of employment.
• Candidates must have proof of full COVID 19 vaccination status OR be willing to obtain the COVID vaccine OR provide an applicable medical/religious exemption prior to the first day of employment.
