Key Qualifications
- Evaluating Patients: Addiction Medicine Physicians assess patients and accurately diagnose addiction or substance-related health conditions.
- Individualized Treatment Plans: They design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s unique needs.
- Medically Supervised Detoxification: When necessary, they provide medically supervised detoxification.
- Medication-Assisted Therapies (MATs): Addiction Medicine Physicians prescribe MATs as appropriate for managing addiction.
- Managing Medical and Psychiatric Conditions: They handle medical care and psychiatric conditions related to addiction.
- Patient and Family Education: These specialists educate patients and their families about addiction and recovery.
- Collaboration with Interdisciplinary Teams: Addiction Medicine Physicians work collaboratively with psychologists, social workers, counselors, and other professionals.
- Referrals and Additional Services: They provide referrals for services such as psychotherapy, social support, or residential treatment.
- Monitoring Recovery: Regularly monitoring patients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Accurate Documentation: Documenting all treatments and progress notes in a timely manner.
- Staying Informed: Keeping up-to-date with the latest research and developments in addiction medicine.
Description
We are seeking a committed and dedicated Addiction Medicine Provider to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will specialize in the prevention, intervention, treatment, and management of addictive disorders such as alcohol and drug addiction. Responsibilities include assessing patients, developing individualized treatment plans, conducting regular follow-ups, and maintaining comprehensive patient records. Ideal candidates are compassionate, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and stay informed about the latest treatments and therapies in addiction medicine. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Education & Experience
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Addiction Medicine
- Valid and active medical license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in addiction medicine
- Outstanding patient management skills
- Knowledge of current addiction treatment and therapies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ethical and moral standards
Pay & Benefits
At Janus, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,000 and $210,000 annually and your base pay will be considered on your job-related skills, training, qualifications, experience, and relevant education.
