Norgren is part of global engineering organization IMI plc, positioned within the Precision Engineering Division.Role Overview

Playing an active role within the Site leadership Team, the Finance Manager will handle IMI Norgren's Finance and Accounting functions at the facility in Plymouth, MN. You will work closely with the General Manager and Corporate Finance Team to achieve company goals and values.

--A strategic thinker who can provide insight and improvements to the site

--A highly motivated candidate with aptitude, attitude, and entrepreneurial spirit to provide hands on involvement in preparation of Trial Balance, Budgeting, Month end/year-end reporting, PnL, and Assets accounting.

--An exceptional business partner to the Site and Business unit management, improving transparency and driving business performance.

Work Location: Plymouth, MN – Hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Reporting

  • Provide accurate and timely internal reporting on operating results and financial condition and support external reporting requirements.
  • Responsible for development of internal financial reports and supporting external Financial Management Reporting for the site; utilizing Epicor ERP and COGNOS systems.
  • Develop quarterly forecasts and annual budget in coordination with the site’s Senior Management team.
  • Develop cash flow forecasting and maintain a long-term cash forecast.

Month End activities

  • Perform administrative and clerical services that include processing of AR / AP, administration, and period end journals.
  • Oversee monthly Trial Balance and ensure accurate month-end accruals are maintained.
  • Manage the weekly Accounts Payable process with support from AP Specialist.
  • Prepare Electronic files for Bank submission via Payment Manager and Positive Pay process. Initiate any outgoing wire transfer payments.
  • Perform various reconciliations, problem solving as required.
  • Provide guidance to site personnel on accounting and finance issues such as: financial practices, GAAP, IFRS, cost management, supply chain and manufacturing/operations.


Internal Control

  • Ensure the adequacy of the accounting system as the basis for reporting to management and to comply with all internal IMI policies, relevant local, state, federal, and international regulations, and ensure filings are completed timely. Ensure effective follow up processes are in place.
  • Monitor and ensure the site’s adherence to the Delegation of Authority document.
  • Provide financial guidance and accounting leadership for annual physical inventory planning and counting.
  • Assist in internal and external audit reviews where necessary.
  • Ensure appropriate legal review of contracts and solicit internal legal advice as required.


Other

  • Support preparation of Business Case analysis for proposed Capital Expenditure and New Product Development projects.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Critical Competencies for Success
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or similar
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accountancy and/or management reporting experience.
  • Experience with Epicor Vista/Vantage, IBM Cognos, or similar business management software(s).
