Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete a thorough psychological assessment of each client and outline client goals.
- Advocate for clients to resolve crises.
- Collaborate with other professionals to provide a safety plan for clients in crisis.
- Ability to demonstrate strong clinical counseling skills.
- Refer client or family to community resources to assist in recovery from mental or physical illness and provide access to services such as financial assistance, legal aid, housing, job placement or education.
- Counsel clients in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies, recover from illness, and adjust to life.
- Organize support groups and counsel family members to assist them in understanding or dealing with life transitions.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment plan.
- Refer VP services to individuals in need of assistance.
- Accurately document, chart and record client billing information, billable hours, and client notes.
- Successfully complete all billable expectations and billing requirements.
- Participate in legal proceedings (depositions, court appearances) as needed.
- Travel as required.
- Adhere to corporate mission, vision, and values.
- Adhere to all ethical counseling standards.
- Adhere to all guidelines and policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- All other duties as needed and assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Degreed and License/Certification without restrictions:
- Licensed Social Worker or Licensed Mental Health Counselor
- Social Work (master’s in social work)
- Psychology (master’s in psychology)
- Experience working in an entrepreneurial business environment.
- Washington State License to provide direct counseling.
- Minimum of three years direct clinical treatment experience
- Current CPR and tuberculosis test
- Current driver’s license and auto insurance and the ability to drive to and from appointments.
