CNC Operator

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a prominent client in Cedar Springs within the Tooling industry.

CNC Operator Job Summary:

7a-3:30P
Start and power down the machine, make size adjustments, and understand the measuring instrument while maintaining a good part.
Responsible for changeovers, drilling, milling, and loading programs while meeting production requirements.
Cut to CAD model.
Read and Comprehend line up sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, etc.
Prepare and operate the CNC machine, translate instructions into computer commands, prepare and load raw materials into the machine, and prepare a test run to ensure conformance to specification.
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large quantities of parts and supervise the machine while executing while adjusting as necessary.
Inspect and measure finished products using precision measuring tools.
Perform weekly and monthly preventative maintenance.
Obtain hilo/overhead crane license and certification.

CNC Operator Qualifications:

An apprenticeship CNC certification or minimum of two years on-the-job experience with ability to operate at least one CNC machine or be enrolled in a CNC apprenticeship program.
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.
High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus
Knowledge or experience with PARPAS Machines is preferred, but not required.
Must be able to stand, bend, twist and lift up to 50lbs.
Work with a team and be a team player, help with other tasks as needed.
Commitment to safety in all aspects of the job.
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to reliably commute to the job
Ability to pass urine drug screening and a physical.
