RESTAURANT/BEACH STORE MANAGER – JOB DESCRIPTION

Restaurant/Beach Store Manager Responsibilities:

The Restaurant/Beach Store Manager is responsible for the successful management of the restaurant and beach store operations including, but not limited to staffing, labor costs, food costs, preparation of menu, expense control, inventory control, equipment maintenance and overall safety to achieve established sales and profit goals. This role has day-to-day responsibility for all front-of-house, back-of-house restaurant and beach store activities including operational performance and execution and directing the front-of-house, back-of-house and Beach Store teams. The Restaurant/Beach Store Manager will report directly to the Corporate Chef.

Restaurant/Beach Store Manager duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Drive profitability of restaurant/beach store by directing company metrics to balance goals
• Effectively assist restaurant team to ensure efficiency of restaurant operations
• Assess and improve the guest’s overall satisfaction using hospitality as a guide
• Oversee service staff during the shift and give direction
• Assist service staff during peak hours to ensure guest satisfaction
• Foster a work environment where good performance is recognized and rewarded
• Handle and act on all disciplinary issues/areas of concern according to Company Policy
• Maintain general appearance and cleanliness of store premises; delegate duties as needed
• Monitor delivered food quality and address any issues swiftly
• Perform opening and closing manager duties
• Place orders with vendors, supervise deliveries and read and review invoices to verify the accuracy of invoice specs
• Conduct physical inventories on a weekly basis
• Support all restaurant and beach store operations to carry out the principles of the company with a hands-on “whatever it takes” approach as it relates to organizational standards
• Have the ability and desire to help in any and all restaurant/beach store positions

Experience/Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of Restaurant/Retail Management experience
• Self-starter with strong leadership skills
• Proven track record of creative and resourceful approaches to unique business challenges
• Excellent organization and prioritization skills; ability to handle multiple projects at one time
• Excellent written, communication, presentation and quantitative skills

• Ability to stand for long periods of time as well as walk, bend and stoop
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Preferred Skills:

• BA/BS Degree with a concentration in management or related field
• Experience providing industry and customer trends to develop strategic action plans.

Hours:

The Restaurant/Beach Store Manager is a full time position and works a minimum of 45 hours per week

The Restaurant/Beach Store Manager is an exempt, salaried position
