Punch Press Operator

Job Summary:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Press Operator for a Client of ours in New Hope. As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of presses to fabricate metal parts according to specifications. This is a full-time position.

Duties:
- Set up and operate mechanical presses to perform tasks such as blanking, piercing, forming, or drawing
- Read and interpret blueprints or job orders to determine product specifications
- Load materials into the press and adjust machine settings for optimal performance
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality output and make necessary adjustments as needed
- Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on presses to keep them in good working condition
- Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production and make necessary repairs
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and increase efficiency

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Punch Press Operator or in a similar role preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of press operations
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job orders
- Proficient in using hand tools, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Familiarity with milling machines, machining centers, or other related equipment is a plus
- Basic programming skills for press controls is desirable but not required
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Available Shifts: 1st/2nd/Wknd

Pay: $18-23/hr
