The Specialty Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding market share within an assigned geographic region. Acting as a channel, product, and consumer expert, this individual continuously evaluates and pursues new opportunities and partnerships. They take ownership of executing trade shows within their designated region and collaborate closely with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure success. This role requires existing relationships within the golf specialty channel and experience in the golf, tourism, travel, gifting, and accessories business. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth, meeting sales goals, and forging new business partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Growth: Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share within the golf specialty channel.
- Market Assessment: Continuously assess market opportunities and identify new partnerships to expand the business.
- Trade Show Execution: Own and execute trade shows within the assigned region to showcase products and build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with operations, marketing, and customer service teams to ensure alignment and enable success.
- Relationship Management: Leverage existing relationships within the golf specialty channel and establish new partnerships to drive business growth.
- Strategic Thinking: Think strategically and implement tactics to achieve sales goals and expand market presence.
- Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the sales team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Travel: This role requires approximately 70% travel within the assigned geographic region.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
- 5-8+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on specialty customers, particularly within the golf industry.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales goals.
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills, with existing connections within the golf specialty channel.
- Ability to think strategically and implement effective tactics to drive business success.
- Excellent retail math capabilities and comfort with ambiguity.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Location: Remote.
