Job Description
Shop Foreman JOS2056 - TX/DFW
Starting base salary: $60-80K
Sumarry
Searching for a veteran cabinet maker for both framed wood and frameless laminated cabinetry. Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, including an accurate ability to measure and interpret size and part requirements from the shop drawings and CAD software. We are looking for a candidate that is able to -multitask both in the office, and on the shop floor. A likely candidate will have the ability to operate as a qualified shop lead to maintain an economical workftow for a team of assemblers, and keep a balanced flow of inventory goods for pre-production needs, while actively managing and tracking weekly usage sheets. This is a working position that requires the skills of a top notch laminate cabinet maker and the organization of a multi skilled office assistant. Overtime is a requirement and you will be expected to set and maintain a schedule for production needs as required.
Responsibilities
-Maintain inventory tracking log and time sheets.
-Develop a proper punch list of items needed for job completion.
-Printing and distribution of job packets to team members for all projects.
-Verify that needed materials are in house for upcoming and past projects.
-Inspect that finished products meet quality standards and job specifications.
-Inventory and packaging of completed projects for shipment and installation.
-Build cabinetry and other laminated case goods including installation of common or specialty hardware.
-Supervise the production of laminated case goods while mentoring less skilled team members in the fine art of cabinetmaking.
-Properly install cabinetry, using approved shop prints and ADA guidelines, to assure that the final fit and finish is checked for quality assurance.

Requirements
-Computer proficiency with Windows based PC platforms for all tasks, including but not limited to the following: daily emails, inventory tracking and management, weekly timesheets, and day to day communication using our schedule management software.
-Possesses the ability to foster a "can do" attitude in all team members while keeping an optimum balance of team morale and with efficient production lead times.
-High degree of proficiency with hand tools, power tools and basic maintenance of shop equipment needed to produce cabinetry.
-Must possess the ability to think on your feet and be solution oriented in a fast paced environment.
-Familiarity with nested based CNC manufacturing processes and edgebanding machinery.
-Familiarity with spraying / finishing cabinets with an airless, HVLP Gun, or Spraypot.
-Design experience with CAD Software with Mozaik is preferred or a HUGE Plus!
-Experienced trim worker capable of installing running and standing trim.
-Must have a valid Texas Drivers license and Social Security number.
-Capable of installing specialty wall paneling using hidden fasteners.
-Ability to build one off specialty projects with little to no assistance.
-Construction and/or woodworking vocational training.
-Knowledge of AWI / QCP quality standards
