Soils Lab Technician

Group Delta is looking for an exceptional Lab Technician for our Anaheim office. If you are gritty, passionate, and intrepid, we may have the perfect career opportunity for you!

What you’ll be doing:

• Under close supervision of higher level technicians or staff professionals, assist on tasks and perform basic construction materials testing and observations duties.
  
• Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.
  
• Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports as work is performed for daily transmittal to the Group Delta Project Manager.
  
• Communicate with project manager, engineering technicians, client representative, contractor’s representative and others as applicable regarding the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
  
• Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles and work areas.
  
• Adhere to strict safety standards.
  
• Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
  
• Performs other related duties as assigned, such as assisting field operations and performing sample pick-ups and deliveries.
  

What to bring:

• 2yrs experience in similar construction materials and soil laboratory.
  
• Technical Certifications (i.e., CalTrans and/or ACI strength/masonry), preferred
  
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
  
• Obtain key certifications such as ACI, Caltrans, and NICET with reasonable training by Group Delta
  
• Knowledge on reporting asphalt, concrete, steel, masonry, grout and aggregates.
  
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
