About the practice
Vision Today is one of the leading eye care practices in all of the Jacksonville area. We believe that work culture is key to success and we promote an atmosphere of team work and family within our practice.
Our team offers a full range of eye health services to clients of all ages, treating everything from routine eye exams to eye emergencies and complete eye health management. When it comes to patient experience, our goal is to be second to none, and we know that it takes the cooperation of everyone from the optometrist to the front office team to deliver excellence.
About the optometrist position
Our new optometrist will be a welcome addition to our team and family who is both personable and welcoming to our patients. We're looking for a well-rounded optometrist who understands and appreciates both the medical and the optical side of the business, and who is willing to take the time to cater to our patients. Our new optometrist will have full autonomy over their treatment and caseload and will be able to:
- Perform comprehensive eye exams
- Perform contact lens fittings
- Prescribe eye drops
- Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease
- Prescribe corrective lenses
- Build strong doctor-patient relationships
- Handle eye care emergencies

Additional information about the optometrists day-to-day:
- Work with our EMR system
- Average 14-15 patients per day
- Hours are 9AM - 5:30PM
- Preference towards Saturday coverage
